Poetry for the Soul
While April is National Poetry Month, it is one of our favorite celebrations and we like to read poetry all year long. Poetry forms bridges, burns bridges, spans time, warps time, heightens senses, disassociates senses, retains boundaries, observes no boundaries, shakes you up and shakes you down, all with a 4/4 beat or a free-meter discordant assemblage of words and letters. Do you love poetry? Do you hate poetry? What is poetry exactly? Do you embrace it? Are you wary of it? April is a time of rebirth, a time to discover the new or revisit the old. Try poetry on. Recite your favorite poem; write one of your own. It’s poetry party time.
Here on staff most of us have poems and poets we particularly admire. We have hand-chosen a few of our favorites and keep an extensive collection in stock.
