Ed Protzel Author Discussion: "Civil War Missouri: Facts + Fiction"

Ed Protzel's discussion "Civil War Missouri: Facts + Fiction" will touch on his new book, Honor Among Outcasts, and how Missouri and the Civil War infuse the story.

In Honor Among Outcasts (DarkHorse Trilogy, Book 2) fast-talking abolitionist Durksen Hurst barely escapes Civil War Mississippi and along with his fiancée, Antoinette DuVallier, and their friends—a group of escaped slaves — arrives in guerrilla-infested Missouri hoping to aid the Union cause. They quickly find themselves entangled in a bloody cauldron of savagery, depredation, and retribution — on both sides.

University City author Ed Protzel brings history to life in Honor Among Outcasts, the second novel in his Faulkner-inspired, Civil War-era DarkHorse Trilogy. Ed began his writing career with screenplays for feature films and developing projects for 20th Century Fox.  After earning his master’s in English literature/creative writing from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, Ed turned to novels. To date, two of the books in his DarkHorse Trilogy have been released: The Lies That Bind and Honor Among Outcasts. The final book, Something in Madness, will be released next year. In addition to his historical fiction, Ed’s futuristic mystery/thriller, The Antiquities Dealer, is set for release at the end of 2018. Connect with Ed on Facebook & Twitter.
