Stuff--Not Books

*Subterranean T Shirts.  Standard cut (aka men’s) available in Large (Med & Extra Large are temporarily out of stock).  Girly cut available in Small, Medium, Large.  The women’s shirts are in two styles 1. very pale blue regular t shirt material (left), 2. slightly darker/greyer blue in a baby rib material which is a little longer and a bit clingier (right).  All shirt stock is from Bella, a textile company that reportedly treats its workers fairly and makes most of its product in the US.  $20 each.

*Author T Shirts by Matt Kindt.  Each shirt has been hand-drawn by highly-regarded, nationally-known (and lucky for St. Louisans–locally-residing) comic artist Matt Kindt with wash-proof markers.  Portraits include Thomas Pynchon and Vladimir Nabokov (Kurt Vonnegut, Jack Kerouac,  J.D. Salinger are out of stock) .  They come in a variety of colors and sizes, both girly cut and standard cut.  Since they are one-of-a-kind, your shirt selection is a crapshoot, but Matt has been known to take orders. Just ask us.  $40 each.

*Matt Kindt’s Super Spy Artwork.  Ink drawing on a vintage paperback copy of Catch-22 by Joseph Heller.  $250.00.

*Plushes by Super Chick Studios.  Giant Wilby (left) is 2 feet wide ($30).  On the right are the white Yeti ($12–sold out), Tilly the cat ($25), Claude the unclassified hairy bi-ped in the back ($25), Captain Romeo who is part robot/part monster and has his own cape ($25--sold out), and the Brown Guy in the front with the wig ($12–sold out).  They’re all hand-made by a local company.

*Hand Marbled Papers by John Bielik.  These are amazing.  They come in different styles and colors and as bookplates (packets of 6 or 5 for $3.50 per packet), blank journals that vary in size and paperweight ($3.50 to $6 each), stationary that includes 3 marbled envelopes, 3 plain envelopes and 6 plain sheets of paper ($7.50 or $9 per packet), and hand-made rag paper in shades of grey available as a stationary packet.  All paper is acid-free, hand marbled, and handsewn.

*Blank Cards by Cate Anevski. There are 8 styles available in two different sizes (4×6–$2.50 each and 6×8–$4 each).  The 6×8 cards have tipped-in prints and both sizes come with plain envelopes.  sold out

*Handmade Books by Janice Wallace.  2 designs available in sizes ranging from 4×5 inches to 6×6 inches. They have varying types of paperstock, endpapers, and cover designs, from the plain (ie masculine!) to the whimsical and pretty.  And they’re all hand-bound.  $18, $26 or $34 each.
